i hold you closer to my heart
than you may think
i sleep with the one thing i can cuddle with
and pretend its you
the soft gentle touch of a teddy bear
that symbolizes
what we used to be
so long ago
i wear your tee shirts
just hoping to catch your scent just one more time
i look back through our memories together
the pictures, the poems, the many tokens of our love,
thinking of what used to be
and what i hope still to be
i still love you
whether you believe me or not
i want to hold you in my arms
feel your tender lips against mine
to know everything is right again
until then i am lost
not whole
empty inside
come home, my love,
come back to me
i love you
and always will.

you don’t see my feelings the way i do you don’t see the regrets that cover my entire being if only you could love me like i love you if only we were one through mind, body, and spirit words cannot describe the emotions that fill my existance pouring from my heart all to please you you will never know what it’s like to love you so dearly through my eyes
